Living on a Prayer & Dr. Pepper 🙏10/18/23
¡Hola everyone!
This week actually flew by! Friday was honestly one of my favorite day's I've had here at the CCM, class was good, they had cinnamon rolls for dessert 🤤, and then after our night class it was POURING rain, so Hna Karren and I made our elder's come dance in the rain with us!! I've decided dancing in the rain is actually my favorite thing ever! God is seriously too good!!
Some highlights/photos:
For our service this week we got to clean the abandoned building!
All of the cute hermanas in our ward! 4 of them are leaving this week😭 so our relief society is gonna be real small on Sunday
Elder Jones during every 5 minute break
This might be the most accurate photo of our district we've ever taken
Spiritual thought:
On Sunday we had a devotional from Elder Bednar and I was literally speechless. It was so good!! The point of his talk was that "the character of Christ is that he turns out when the natural man turns in". At the hardest times in Christ's life, rather than ask why me? Or feel sorry for himself, he looked for ways to serve other people. After he had felt so much pain that he literally bled from every pore, he took the time to heal some guy's ear. After fasting for 40 days and being tempted by Satan, he sent angels to minister to John in prison. As he hung on the cross in anguish, he asked for the forgiveness of those who beat, mocked, and killed him. He turns out when we would turn in. So I challenge all of you to try to look outward, and to look for examples of Christ turning outward in the scriptures, because they're literally everywhere!
I go to argentina NEXT THURSDAY!! which is actually so crazy but I'm soo excited! I'm not sure if I'll get time to send an email next week so the next time you hear from me might be when I'm in Argentina!
Love and miss you all!!
