Weeks 1 & 2 9/24/23

I've almost been a missionary for 2 whole weeks! Its actually crazy thinking back to getting set apart, every day since that has felt like a week. But for the most part I'm loving it!! Feel free to skip to the pictures at the end, that really is the best part of these things anyways :)

My companion is seriously the best ever, it feels like we've been friends forever and I met her for the first time on Tuesday. We have a good time laughing at all the élders in our district, they provide constant entertainment. Our teachers are actual saints for putting up with us.

The CCM has been awesome! It's soo pretty and everyone is super nice, even when we can't really understand each other haha. The food's definitely hit or miss, for the most part it's been good, but there have been a few meals of just watermelon, salad, and cereal. But they make up for that by selling Dr. Pepper in the tienda, I seriously don't know if I could make it through my classes without it. And compared to home mtc, the ccm is basically the best place on Earth.

Spiritual thought: 

Thursday night Hna Karren and I were saying how we felt like we hadn't really had any super stronge spiritual experiences. In our nightly prayer we asked to feel the spirit with us and let me tell ya, God really came through. The next day we had a workshop called "don de idomas" or The Gift of Tongues, and it was seriously exactly what we needed. Our whole row was bawling, including the Élders. The spirit was soo strong the whole time. And we learned to be careful for what you ask for. Cause you just might end up bawling in a room full of Élders if you don't. But I really do know that God answer's our prayers, and gives us exactly what we need, even when we don't know it yet!
