Hola todos!!

It was another super good week here in San Fran! I'm finally starting to remember peoples names and how to get places which is very helpful!

On Friday we were out working with one of the cute members who's about to leave on her mission and this old man outside of his house started talking to us. Obviously we were happy to talk to him and tell him all about Jesus! He started talking about how nobody dies and all this stuff. He then told us that he has a shrine of a 5 year old girl who died and asked if we wanted to see it. Obvio we said no, and tried to end the convo, after a few more minutes of him rambling (and calling me beautiful) we left and went on our way. Then a few days later I was looking at the carpeta and realized that he was a red point, and the elders that made it said “Suerte (No Lo Contacten Literal, Tiene Un Demonio)” which basically means: good luck, he's got a demon. Whoops lol

Some fun highlights:

We went to Córdoba and I did my trámites so I'm officially not illegal! Apparently they've been having a ton of issues with trámites and a bunch of missionaries had to fly to buenos aires to get it figured out. It was basically a miracle that everything worked out for mine the way it did, God's just too good!

San Fran is soo hot! My face is just bright red all the time. Every person we talk to tells us that we need to use hats, which is actually a great conversation starter so I'm not complaining

FIAMMA GOT BAPTISED!! She's actually the most precious ever, and her baptism was soo perfect! I made some no bake cookies and brownies to share which were a hit (shoutout to hna gerstner for the brownie recipe)

This week I read the talk, Kingdoms of Glory by President Dallin H. Oaks and it's so so good! One quote from it that I love says:

  • It is not even enough to be convinced of the gospel; we must act so that we are converted by it. In contrast to other preaching, which teaches us to know something, the gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to become something

The line “converted by it” really stood out to me, because usually we use the phrase “converted to it” instead. I really started to think about what being converted even means, it's not just getting baptized or even knowing everything there is to know about the gospel. Being converted is to genuinely change as a person, to become a better version of yourself. The purpose of the gospel is to help us become more like Christ, to be converted by Him!

Love and miss you all!! Make this week a great one!
