escogido o loco? 2/12/24

Holaaa! 

This week was a serious rollercoaster started off real strong, took a sleep slope up, and a sleep slope down, and ended it off with a bang!


On Wednesday we found out that our friend Ynes wasn't leaving to go back to Santiago del Estero until next week, which meant she could get baptized on Sunday! So we literally prepped everything, visited her twice a day to finish teaching everything, made 50 cookies and banana bread, and sent a million texts. Then Saturday night at 10, we get a text from her son saying that they're going to Córdoba and she can't get baptized. It was so sad because she was soo excited to get baptized and we just have no idea if she's ever coming back… so now we're just stuck having to eat 50 cookies, which is a whole other issue but ya fue


BUT on the bright side, the chapel this Sunday was actually soo full! It was crazy! When I first got here, only the very back rows were filled, with the entire front totally empty, and every week it's just gotten more full!! All of the inactive members that came last week came again, and they brought more people with them!

Our sink actually hates us and now just refuses to stop ever, so we had to get creative

Also it's literally soo hot and humid here, I have never sweat more in my life. After literally 10 minutes outside I'm quite literally dripping wet. And yet somehow we have soo many men all over us. Poor hermana Grimshaw has had a man try to kiss her almost every day this week😅 We've really had to perfect our swerving techniques hahah


We talked to several people this week who opened up to us about really personal parts of their lives and how they've been angry with God recently. In my studies I read the talk Infuriating Unfairness by Elder Dale G. Renlund which is actually fuego!

  • Nothing compares to the unfairness He endured. It was not fair that He experienced all the pains and afflictions of mankind. It was not fair that He suffered for my sins and mistakes and for yours. But He chose to do so because of His love for us and for Heavenly Father. He understands perfectly what we are experiencing.

When infuriatingly unfair things happen it can be so easy to blame God, to be angry with Him and to harden your heart. But that's exactly what Satan wants us to do. Because Christ is the only one who can help us through the infuriating unfairness in the world! He really did experience more unfairness than anyone else, and He did it willingly because he loves us! Through Him we know that one day all that is unfair now will be made right, and until then He can give us the strength to keep going!

Holaa todos! So sorry I had no time to write an email last week so here's just a quick update on the last little bit! Played soccer for p-day for the first time in my mission. I may have gotten a little bit competitive!  Had Zone conference!! It was so good! We talked all about becoming/helping others become lifelong disciples of Christ! Plus I got to see my bestie Hermana Jensen! We're still praying for the day we get to be comps! LIDIA GOT BAPTIZED!! I mean it when I say that Lidia is the most kind, loving, selfless person I've ever met! She's become our mom here in San Fran and I just love her so much!  Had zone p-day in Arroyito! Fua 12/11/23

Hola everyone!! This weekend was seriously full of miracles!! Friday night we went to visit Nadia and Miguel (our recent converts) and Miguel's son was there! They had been telling him about the plan of salvation, and he wanted to know more! So we taught him all about God's plan for us, and it went so good!! Then the next night we went to visit them again and another one of Nadia's sons was there!! I literally had Deja Vu. We taught him all about the plan of salvation and how we're here to be happy! He said he's gonna come to church next week with Nadia!! Literally loco!!  And the biggest miracle of all!!! ANA AND GABI'S PAPERS CAME!!! Ana and Gabi are our friends who have been waiting for months for Ana's birth certificate to come so that they can get married and get baptized! Gabi is the older brother of Luis, who starts his mission next monday, so we've been praying that the papers would come before Luis leaves. But not gonna lie, we were starting to ...

It's me, hi! 5/23/24

Sorry it's been a minute, I just know you've all been missing my weekly emails :) But let me tell ya, it's been a crazy couple of weeks! Some quick highlights: Hermana Silva! Intercambios with Hermana Vasquez!!  Hermana Huaraca pretty much every day after I made her walk all over San Fran Hit 8 months! Time seriously doesn't exist in the mission Had stake conference! We weren't gonna go in person, but last minute President Zanni had the elders buy us tickets to go!! Got go see Hermana Pingry! (I LOVE YOU) I knew I trained my hijta good when she wanted to eat ice cream even though she was freezing cold  #ilovegridos TRANSFERS!!! Sadly I'm getting separated from mi hijita and the hermanas in San Fran  But I got reunited with Hermana Martin! (we lived together in my first transfer) We're doing a white wash in an area that had elders before. Pray for us in our new pension   But I already know it's gonna be a great transfer!!
