I avoided teen pregnancy! (barely) 4/11/24

Fua what a week! Since the last time I talked to you I have.. 

  • Watched general conference!! Literally so so good, if you haven't watched it yet go do it now! I loved Elder Uchtdorf's talk about joy!

  • Turned 20 years old!

  • Finished 7 months in the mission!

I also found out I'M GONNA BE A MOM!! (I’m training a new missionary) I thought for sure that I was gonna leave San Francisco, but God's got much better plans and I'm soo excited for this transfer!! They're also dividing our area and putting in another companionship of hermanas so we get to live in 4 again which is gonna be a party! The other hermana is training too, so we're gonna have 2 babies in San Fran! 


Despite still having dengue, we were dying from being inside all day and started to go out to work! Luckily God's looking out for us and it finally started to cool down!

Had a much needed intercambios with Hermana Silva!! 

The branch threw a little farewell party for Mia and Lola! They're seriously gonna be the best missionaries ever!! But we're definitely gonna miss them and all of their help!

Had my first and only birthday in the mission! The elders were precious and sent us an ice cream cake to celebrate! And thank you to all of you for the birthday messages! 🫶

Mia and Lola started home mtc this week so we went and visited them! Brought them a little treat and had a little impromptu mission prep class!

Had our last district council, I'm definitely gonna miss this very chaotic, trunky district


These last few weeks I've seen firsthand how much God can magnify our efforts, with being sick we were very limited to what we could do, but we saw soo many miracles! We invited all of our friends to come watch conference with us, but our branch wasn't going to watch it in our chapel, so we had to go to the barrio a little further away. We were super sad because none of our friends showed up. But then as the conference started, we began to receive messages from so many of our friends with pictures of the conference saying how beautiful it was! It really made me see how all of our efforts made a difference, even if it wasn't exactly in the way I hoped! 


Not gonna lie this last little bit has been kinda rough, despite all of my best efforts it felt like nothing I did was good enough. But this week I was able to see some of the fruits of my labors and see how God could take my imperfect efforts and make them sufficient! And looking back I can see how much I've learned and grown, and that it's helped prepare me for what's coming next!! A talk that I loved from my studies this week was The Imperfect Harvest by Elder Vern P. Stanfill. Go and read it, it's a good one!!

Holaa todos! So sorry I had no time to write an email last week so here's just a quick update on the last little bit! Played soccer for p-day for the first time in my mission. I may have gotten a little bit competitive!  Had Zone conference!! It was so good! We talked all about becoming/helping others become lifelong disciples of Christ! Plus I got to see my bestie Hermana Jensen! We're still praying for the day we get to be comps! LIDIA GOT BAPTIZED!! I mean it when I say that Lidia is the most kind, loving, selfless person I've ever met! She's become our mom here in San Fran and I just love her so much!  Had zone p-day in Arroyito! Played some more soccer, ate some churi pan and played some Uno! Plus I bought the sickest shorts, son buenísimo  Celebrated Hermana Mascarenhas’ birthday!! Fua 12/11/23

Hola everyone!! This weekend was seriously full of miracles!! Friday night we went to visit Nadia and Miguel (our recent converts) and Miguel's son was there! They had been telling him about the plan of salvation, and he wanted to know more! So we taught him all about God's plan for us, and it went so good!! Then the next night we went to visit them again and another one of Nadia's sons was there!! I literally had Deja Vu. We taught him all about the plan of salvation and how we're here to be happy! He said he's gonna come to church next week with Nadia!! Literally loco!!  And the biggest miracle of all!!! ANA AND GABI'S PAPERS CAME!!! Ana and Gabi are our friends who have been waiting for months for Ana's birth certificate to come so that they can get married and get baptized! Gabi is the older brother of Luis, who starts his mission next monday, so we've been praying that the papers would come before Luis leaves. But not gonna lie, we were starting to ...

It's me, hi! 5/23/24

Sorry it's been a minute, I just know you've all been missing my weekly emails :) But let me tell ya, it's been a crazy couple of weeks! Some quick highlights: Hermana Silva! Intercambios with Hermana Vasquez!!  Hermana Huaraca pretty much every day after I made her walk all over San Fran Hit 8 months! Time seriously doesn't exist in the mission Had stake conference! We weren't gonna go in person, but last minute President Zanni had the elders buy us tickets to go!! Got go see Hermana Pingry! (I LOVE YOU) I knew I trained my hijta good when she wanted to eat ice cream even though she was freezing cold  #ilovegridos TRANSFERS!!! Sadly I'm getting separated from mi hijita and the hermanas in San Fran  But I got reunited with Hermana Martin! (we lived together in my first transfer) We're doing a white wash in an area that had elders before. Pray for us in our new pension   But I already know it's gonna be a great transfer!!
