I bought a ZOO! 11/6/23

 Hola everyone!!

This week was a party! We had zone conference Tuesday and had what might be the first missionary mosh pit ever to celebrate having 100 BAPTISMS in October!!🥳 The rest of the week we spent clapping houses, teaching english classes, and teaching our amigos!

Not gonna lie, some days it feels like we make more animal friends than humans🦧🐈🥳🦚 Basically every house we clap has a few dogs that come running up to us, and then usually come join us on our walk to the next house!

We also met Fredita, who's our new best friend! We fed her some grass and she was ready to come home with us! 🐎

Sunday we decided to go do comp study outside by the river because it was a nice, warm day. So we brought all of our stuff and got all set up, and after like 5 minutes something fell from the tree above us and hit Hna Gerstner, long story short she got pooped on🐦‍⬛. I think I must just be bad luck or something cause I'm 2/2 for comps getting pooped on 🥸

Anyways… here's some random highlights!

  • Hna Gerstner became an official Argentinian and made her first tarta!!

  • Our district riding back from zone conference!

  • Fredita 🤩🐎🤠🫶🥳

  • We had a noche de hogar with our cute branch! We played a game where someone is in the middle and says "I love my neighbor who…is wearing red" and then everyone wearing red has to move seats. Which is a little more difficult when you don't understand the language everyone is speaking…

For real though Spanish is SO HARD but SO GOOD. I'm finally getting to the point where I can usually follow along decently well when people are talking, especially about church stuff. But for some reason every time someone asks me a question my brain just completely turns off,  anything more than "como se llama" or "como esta" and I just forget all words🤠 but ya fue, the Holy Ghost helps me out big time when I share my testimony with our amigos, so I can't complain!

Spiritual thought!!

We've been meeting with our friend Nadia a lot lately trying to get her ready for her baptism, and she's going through a REAL tough time. We talked about the story of Peter walking on the water (Matthew 14:25-33) and the line "O thou of little faith". Peter had literally just WALKED ON THE WATER to Jesus, and yet Christ said he had "little faith", oof.

But we talked about how after we make a big action of faith, like walking on water, or deciding to get baptized, Satan is gonna do everything he can to make us doubt. And he starts by making us doubt ourselves. Peter knew Christ could save him, he never doubted that. He doubted that he himself could walk on water, and that's when his faith started to falter. Having faith in yourself is SO important. Always remember that YOU are a child of GOD, and that with Christ nothing is impossible! And remember that Christ is always there ready to reach down and grab your hand out pull you out of the water if/when your faith does falter!

Love you all!!
