Hola todos!!
Some highlights/photos from the last week:
Hermana Huaraca decided she wanted to dye her hair she was super happy until we told her she had to shower and wash out the dye before bed.
got a little too excited to find lemon pie and made a mess
We had intercambios with the hermana leaders! But instead of splitting up like usual, one of them came with us and the other went with Hermana Pinar y Silva in trios! Then we all met up for lunch with a member!
GAEL GOT BAPTISED! This is a serious miracle. A couple weeks ago Gael and his family came to church, he's the cousin of Selena (our other recent convert), and his mom is an inactive member. He told us he wanted to get baptized! But after a whole week of trying we could never coordinate a lesson with them. They came to church again last week and we were able to coordinate a noche de hogar with them! On Tuesday we had the noche de hogar and talked all about baptism! I don't even think we asked Gael if he wanted to get baptized, he had already decided. When we asked about what date he wanted to do it he happily said “sunday!” So after a few days of craziness coordinating everything, he got baptized on Sunday!

This week I was able to see how much God completes our efforts, in the mission (and life in general) sometimes it feels like there's so many things to do and not enough time to do it all. But this week I saw how when I did everything I could, everything else fell into place. It may not be exactly how I thought it would, but it ended up so much better than what I had planned.
Thursday I was exhausted, all week we'd been running around trying to find new people, teach our friends, and throughout all of it I was trying to learn how to train a new missionary. Then I received a message asking if I'd accept an assignment to teach English Connect, a little doubtingly, I agreed and added it on to the endless list of things to do. Then that afternoon I got a call asking if I would accept the assignment to be on the Mission technology committee, again I agreed and immediately started to stress about how I'd be able to get everything done. But as I started to think about it, I remembered a conference talk from last October, and one specific quote came to my mind:
“Because it was too hard for you to walk, I called him as a bishop in order to hold you and walk for you.”
https://www.
I have felt that power this week. The times that it was too hard for me to walk, He walked for me. And even when it felt like I could barely do the bare minimum, let alone accept more responsibilities, when I took the step with faith and put in my best effort He made it whole.
Anyways, I'm out of time, but I love you all so much!! Have the best week!
Hermana Milne
